Lisa is Founder and Principal of Allsteps Dance Academy. She started dancing at the age of three and it was during these formative years that she quickly fell in love with Ballet.
Lisa was a dedicated student who passed all her exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern with Distinctions. Her artistic talent and potential were rewarded when she was selected to study at the world-renowned Royal Ballet School. She continued to broaden her dance education at Bush Davies Theatre School and Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.
Lisa went on to pursue a professional dance career in theatre, television and film and was fortunate to work with many leading Choreographers and Directors. After ten years in the profession and touring the globe, she was ready to put her wealth of knowledge into a new career – teaching. She studied with The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) to gain her RAD TCP Registered Teacher status, and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and holds the DDI/DDE qualifications.
After twenty years of teaching at Allsteps and Monmouth School for Girls, dance is still a huge passion of Lisa's and she believes it is important to continue to develop her knowledge by regularly attending courses.
During her own vocational training, she was fortunate to be taught by many distinguished teachers, who instilled in her the importance of being trained correctly. This ethos is passed on to her own students and Allsteps Dance Academy produces happy, skilled and successful pupils.
